Our food was designed using dietary guidelines and nutrition research from the Children's Hospital of Oakland Research Institute.
* Dr. Ronald Krauss is the physician that formerly chaired the nutrition committee of the American Heart Association and pioneered their diet guidelines.
* Dr. Janet King chaired the National Academy of Sciences Institute of Medicine Food and Nutrition Board and established a new paradigm for Dietary Reference Intakes. Dr. King also chaired the Dietary Guidelines Advisory Committee for the Department of Health and Human Services and USDA. Dr. King is a member of the National Academy of Sciences and was inducted into the USDA Agricultural Research Services Hall of Fame in 2007.
The company is advised by Dr. Christopher Gardner, the leading expert on the effectiveness of popular diets and their role in preventative medicine. Dr. Gardner is on the faculty of Stanford Medical School's Prevention Research Center.
We are inspired by our culinary partner, Northern California's most prestigious caterer, Paula LeDuc. Paula is a leader in the slow food movement.
Our executive chef, Donna Insalaco, is a culinary pioneer. Donna has been the executive chef of gourmet restaurants, world class catering operations, and innovative raw food companies. She also ran the operations of a large organic bakery. She is a caring mother that wants to make people smile from eating great meals that heal their body and soul.
Ron Boyd is our VP Culinary Innovation for the culinary team. He is responsible for developing new recipes for Beautifull’s seasonally changing menu at Beautifull as well as overseeing back-of-house operations within the company’s new fresh foodspaces. The 2005 San Francisco Chronicle “Rising Star Chef,” brings more than 25 years of culinary experience in the Bay Area to his role at Beautifull. Positions at high profile restaurants such as the Grand Café, Domaine Chandon and most recently Aqua, give Boyd a deep respect for culinary technique and a philosophy of cooking that relies on the balance of flavors.
Our culinary team includes chefs from famous restaurants. We have several chefs with this pedigree working together every day. They innovate original food that stretches the imagination and sets a new standard of greatness for prepared, fresh food.
